I don't find another explanation for this horrible persecution against Lance Armstrong than that, that the French Authorities of the Tour De France are afraid of Lance Armstrong winning yet another Tour, taking the glory away from them, the French organizers.
I can't imagine myself being put through this mental pestering. I just can't imagine how Lance can cope with the stress. First, he fractures his collarbone, he hasn't recovered fully yet when he's being horribly harassed by the France's anti doping agency known as AFLD. Geez, what is their problem? Are they afraid, jealous, both? What? They should be thankful that Lance Armstrong is racing again the Tour de France.
Since Lance left professional cycling and since the Tour de France has become a witch hunt for pro-cyclists, the Tour hasn't had the same amount of spectators, and fans practically turned to following only the Classic cycling races. Now that Lance is back many avid cycling fanatics have decided to follow the Tour de France once again.
Really, I hope this insane hounding against ANY pro-cyclist stops right away, otherwise they -the French authorities- are really going to damage -even more- the image of the most beautiful sport of the world.

Oh not again! Attacking the king of cycling again?!
Mr. Armstrong is not the king of cycling. He's never been.
Miguel Indurain, Mercx, they were the kings.
I knew something like this was going to happen. They just don't want Lance to win another tour...hahahahahahaha...
Go Lance, go!!!
Come one, can they just accept the fact that Lance is a fantastic cyclist?
Sooooo...they want to stop Lance from racing the tour de france, even when the tests came back negative???!!!
FREAKING UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
This 'event' in France seems like another pointless witch hunt against Lance Armstrong.
First: Not everyone in a lab is skilled and trained to inject a needle to obtain a blood sample. Was this person a skilled medical professional? Why wouldn't Lance want to see official paperwork?
Second: Why was this individual alone? There should be more than one individual for any testing precedure to insure there are credible eyewitnesses for any unforseen events.
Third: Is it fair to say that some dubious individuals were hoping to find some trace remnants of any medications issued during Armstrong's recent surgery? ( medical reasons for pain medication or any such treatment for his broken collarbone)
Fourth: Washing after a long ride is essential to maintain proper health for skin. There is no medical reason why twenty minutes would alter any test results. If Armstrong were to drive to a medical facility or lab to have his blood withdrawn, it would have probably taken that much time or even longer to obtain a proper sample of blood. This would only seem to matter if there was a positive result from his urine sample anyway.
Fifth: What other riders in France were tested in this manner in recent weeks? What procedure was used?
In this day and age any rider needs to be careful and check with authorities about anyone who wants blood,DNA, and hair samples, come on!
Yeah, I know, Mish. What do they want, just for Armstrong to give blood and hair samples just to anyone? Give me a break!
The french really have it in for him. why does he even mess with racing the tour again? but, it would really irk them bad if he goes and wins it again! ha!
So now what? Are they going to impede Lance from participating in the tour?
I've said it again and again. Lance should have just stayed away from the Tour de France. They hate him because he's a real winner and no French cyclist has ever been able to accomplish what he did. They don't want him back and they are going to do the impossible to keep him from racing there.
I just hope that they don't succeed and destroy LA's career.
I think Lance did nothing wrong...some douche bag approaches him as hes finishing up a training ride and shows nothing to prove who he is and demands a sample? again the french prove they'll do anything to try and tarnish his name....
Go Lance! Show 'em who's D boss!
I'm with Lance and I agree with the blogger.
Give it to them, Lance!
I'd tell those French people and everybody else who doesn't like LA that jealousy is a very ugly thing.
This is what somebody commented over another cycling blog:
"It's a disgusting sport. They are all on drugs, only some of them get caught."
And this is what I answered to him/her:
Why do you hate cycling so much? Did you try it and couldn't be good enough? Don't worry, there's always aerobics. Just saying'
Good answer, Livingstrong!
