The Tour de France refuses Tom Boonen's participation
____________________________________________________________________"As a consequence to the recent positive doping test of Tom Boonen, following another positive test in 2008, the Tour de France, after having met team Quick Step representatives, can only assume that the image and behaviour of Tom Boonen can’t stick neither to the Tour de France image nor to the image such a great champion has to embody.
Therefore, and with a view to protect its reputation, its image as well as the Tour de France’s ones, the A.S.O. company decided not to accept Tom Boonen on the Tour The Tour de France reminds that the rider and his team can of course contest this decison through the Chambre Arbitrale du Sport of the CNOSF, which, in case of court referral, will make the final decision."
The 2009 Tour de France is just around the corner and already there is a lot to talk about.
This year's TdF is specially exciting for me because Lance Armstrong has come back to professional cycling and he's ready to race. He might not win the tour, he might not even be in the final podium, although he might win some stages, but if he doesn't win any stage at all, who cares, I don't. As far as I'm concern he is already a great winner, not only in the cycling world but in the everyday living world. He is a great inspiration not only to me but to many millions of people around the world for having being so strong, so brave, when he was so sick suffering from the spreading of testicular cancer to his lungs and brain.
All I have to say to him is, welcome to the Tour de France, Mr. Lance Armstrong, I'm sure you are going to dedicate this tour to your new born, baby Max Armstrong. I'm sure you will perform with excellence and make us all stronger by watching you dance on the pedals along the roads of the Alps.
A PREVIEW AND GENERAL INFORMATION:
Monaco will be the the land that will witness the start of this grand cycling tour on Saturday July 4th. On Sunday July 26th the peloton will be entering the Avenue des Champs Élysées in Paris to finalize the 96th Tour de France, but not before they had pedaled a total distance of 3,435 kilometers in 21 stages.
The stages will be:
10 flat ones
7 mountain stages
1 medium mountain stage
2 individual time trial stages (ITT)
1 team time trial stage (TTT)

Ditto.
7 mountain stages in 21 days at THAT pace i'd have a heart attack. But then again, I'm 70 years old. LOL
Although I did climb some pretty hard mountains 20 years ago when I started cycling.
Thank you, Doctor Martha for making me so happy with your colorful, compassionate, kind, interesting and very smart way of blogging.

Kudos.
I have downloaded the entire Kraftwerk DVD in my MP3 player. I listen to it when I'm out biking. It gives me tons of mental energy.

Tom Boonen has been a very bad boy. Seriously, he shouldn't snore cocaine. It's not a joke.
