Floyd Landis Tour of Southland 17 Place

American professional cyclist Floyd Landis hasn't finished his 2009 cycling season yet. He participated in the Tour of Southland but couldn't make it to the podium, ending in 17 place in the General Classification. I feel for him, he is trying but he cannot perform well after his comeback, not even in this cycling event which only has a 2.2 classification category by the UCI.
He is trying though. He broke away with 6 riders in the last stage -stage 9- advancing in the overall place a bit even though he was caught in the chaos of the mass crash on the opening day.

The Tour of Southland is a premier national cycling event in New Zealand that run from the 2nd to the 7th of November.

Final general classification

Landis can't do much without testosterone, huh?

Well, it makes me wonder, then, how much he doped because this race is a far cry from being a winning in the Tour de France.

Sorry, I meant being a "winner" in the Tour. I feel for these cyclists, it burns me that they don't chase after Tennis players for doping, basketball players and the likes. Oh well.

Well said, Mish. Pro-cyclist are persecuted all the time, but what about tennis and even golf; I'm sure that Tiger Woods and the Williams sisters dope, all of'em!
Yes, Landis doped but what stage he rode, I loved it!

The man accomplished winning the tour on a broken hip, then 2+ years and a new hip later, he's got some work ahead of him, but don't count him out. As as the doping, I don't think he did, now you may disagree with that, but only time and Floyd can prove it either way!
