Cadel Evans leaves Team Silence-Lotto to join BMC Cycling Team and will be racing with George Hincapie against Lance Armstrong (RadioShack Cycling Team) in Adelaide, Australia next year in the Tour Down Under, which will run from the 17 to 24 of January.
This is great news and proves that the 2010 professional cycling season is going to be exhilarating. Just for starters, we will have Cadel Evans VS Lance Armstrong, then, several cycling races, then the Giro and so on. Can't wait for 2010!
About Lance Armstrong:
Lance's participation in the 2009 Tour Down Under brought thousands of visitors from all over the world to this important cycling event injecting about 32 million USD in this part of Australia, helping its economy in great way.

Frankly, I used to dislike Evans, with his pedantic attitude. But this year he was different, arrogant still but kind to the reporters, fans and media. I hope he can keep it up.
However, Lance is DA MAN!
Lance all the way!
It'll be an interesting TDU, that's for sure. Evans did well this year and he's all fired up right now, he wants to get that first place in Australia, his hometown.
Armstrong, the cycling legend who came back after 3-4 years of retirement gets 3rd in the TdF and with a fractured clavicle in recovery. I just don't see Evans winning the Santos tour.
Good for both of'em, to get some self-esteem in front of their mates, ya' know, since they both got brand new cycling teams.
Rainbow jersey on Evans back will surely help to promote even more the cycling there, just like LA presence.
The economy and the world of cycling needs'em both.
Smartsiaofish, the question is not if the economy is going to benefit from having Evans and Armstrong in the TDU, the question is WHO do you think is the one who's going to win the TDU?
Lance came on 29 place, maybe because it was his first pro road race after his comeback. Evans, will be his first TDU. My choice to win this one, someone else but Lance, nor Evans.
FlordeTJ, don't know who might win, I'm not really good at predicting, since all depends on many factors.
Nice report on the Tour Down Under. Kudos!
Wow, Hincapie with Evans!? I wonder if cyclists share the secrets of their former teammates to the new team such as training routines, special techniques, strange rituals before a race, etc.
