Throughout the last years, 8 to 9 more or less, I have noticed a very worrisome increment of hate in the hearts of the American people. They seem to thrive on hate and feed on vengeance, and this I find to be a very scary trend, and worst of all, it seems that this hate is spreading to all sectors of the American society, the low, middle and upper class, the poor, the median income and the rich seem to be infected with hate.
We cannot deny that the American ego has escalated to uncontrollable levels now, and that is the reason why their military bases are practically all over the world. They want control, manipulate the masses, without having any regard for the freedom of the people of their own country nor the people of the world. They just send their troopers to what ever country they think has the most petroleum, the most resources, or they just send them "in the name of FREEDOM".
The most recent US military base set up is the Colombian one. Thank goodness they didn't come to Mexico! But my point is, how far is their warfare power going to extend? Probably not much anymore since the United States of America is basically and financially broke.
So, the US citizens have learned to hate other human beings that are not exactly like them, that don't have the same culture, the same language, the same religion, they hate the ones that have no religion at all, the "MEXICANS" (like it's an insult to be Mexican), etc.
Too much hate in United States, like a terminal disease for which there is no cure. How long will it last? Will it take United States to an inevitable collapse of all kinds, financial, economic, social, political, even moral? I hope not but it seems that that is the way the country is heading to, inevitalbly.
Please, do not think that I am generalizing. I am sure that there are millions of Americans who still have high regard for human values, real human values, like compassion, kindness, manners, respect for other ethnicity backgrounds, religious groups, non-religion groups, women, children, elderly, disable people, "Mexicans", etc. But unfortunately, there are also many many Americans who are showing lack of all the real values I mentioned above, and that is what is dragging the country down, and maybe in 10 years from now, United States won't be anymore the first economy nor the first power of the world, unless they leave the hate behind, once and for all.

I couldn't have said better, Dr. Castro.
The blogger makes excellent points.
Yes, the US has its flaws, but compared to most of the countries in the world they are small, and well worth living with IMHO.
I love America just not some of the stupid S($%^T that goes on in it, so don't feel bad Dr. Castro.
I hate Lou Dobbs.
Hate creates hates. Nothing good can come from that.
Lou Dobbs is a hate-monger and unfortunately he is not alone, since his views are shared by a great portion of Americans.
Lou Dobbs stopped being a credible journalist years ago.
He falsely accuses Latino immigrants of spreading leprosy and of plotting to take over America.
CNN broadcasts this garbage and I find it to be appalling. CNN news should not be trusted, I don't watch it any more, their are hatemongers as well, bias and all Obama-lovers.
Do people with brains even have any choices for news anymore? BBC America is our last hope.
Thank you for the post. I am an expat who is white with blond hair and green eyes and when I cross the border into California with my Mexican family, we are routinely told to go back to our country and other despicable things. We rarely cross the border any more, opting to spend all our hard earned money here locally.
Unfortunately, hate is money in America. But blowhards like Lou Dobbs, or repressive arms of bigots like Arpaio don’t belong in 2009’s America. Lou can stick with his complaints about lax safety measures here and there, but leave the poor and vulnerable alone. He’s tied them as a whole with ugly things like leprosy and crime . All the while dismissing serious folks who’re just not populists as ‘idiots’ on the show. He’s also a friend of ultra bigots. But both him and Arpaio are too full of themselves to ever listen to others than their own supporters.
"Too much hate in United States, like a terminal disease for which there is no cure."
Agreed.
Look what just happened yesterday. Fort Hood Texas, a doctor of the military kills 13 and wounds 30!!!!!
HATE CREATES....HATE HATE HATE! .... when is it going to end?
hatred will just result into negative things in life.
There's a lot of hate in this country, far too much by way too many people on far too many issues. Fox News is certainly a purveyor and inspirer of hate.
Why don't you spend some time growing up in AZ, USA and tell me that you don't have a problem with non-citizen "Mexicans" driving uninsured, loitering all over the shopping centers looking for a hand-out and raiding the Emergency rooms.
@Comment #14,
Anonymous, I was born, raced and live in Arizona and DON'T have a problem with "Mexicans". I, however, have a problem with criminals and dope addicts who are mainly white and drive uninsured, loiter all over and beg on the streets for hand outs.
Ah, btw, many "American Citizens", especially WHITES and religious people owe me a lot of money on EMERGENCY medical surgeries, consultations and medical procedures.
So, SHUT UP, and get a life. Grow up, you little twat.
Apparently "Anonymous" missed the point. If we don't rise above people like him, you are absolutely correct, it will kill this country.
Well played Dr. Castro.
