Mariscos Vegetales Verduras Comida para el Cuerpo y el Alma!

Nutritious food is what our bodies need to develop both healthy mental and physical energy, energy that will keep us going with a positive attitude through the path of our lives that we walk, run or pedal everyday.

Healthy food is not equivalent to boring food. Healthy food can be so delicious, we all just have to develop the palate for it, it is all in our will and mind. But then again, I am not trying to convince anybody to eat in a certain way, I do not like to push my ideas on anybody, nor my habits, I just write about them. If this healthy idea clicks with you, fantastic, if not, follow your own, it might be fantastic too and you might want to share it with us.

  1. The thing is, healthy means quality. If you want to eat processed junk full of sugar and e-numbers, fine. America does fast food. Which is OK as an occasional treat, but as a staple diet? Nah, your good.

The diet that we handle best is the diet that we evolved into. A hunter gatherer diet. So lots of vegies etc. since these would be readily available though foraging. Meat would make up a small part of the diet, since it was not easily come by. Fish is also viable in the right quantities. The thing with a hunter gatherer diet is variety. Because you would not have a McD on each corner, you ate what you could find.

In the modern world we should do the same. Mix it up with our food so that it mirrors what our bodies want. A bit of fish with boiled veg one day. Chicken with rice the next. You can still eat hamburgers, but just have it once a week.

However, no matter what you eat, the golden rule is to cook it yourself. That way you know what goes into it. The amount of salt that manufacturers put into food is a good example. Know what your eating. Only use fresh foods when you cook, rather than tinned and you will get more energy from the food.

It is common sense. Fresh food, cooked from scratch is going to be healthier than something that has been sitting in a packet in the freezer for two months.

Diets can work. However, you need to exercise. Think hunter gatherer and you can't go far wrong. We did not evolve by sitting in the cave waiting for somebody to bring food to us. We had to go out, club it over the head and drag it back to the tribe. That takes effort.

    Ugggh.
